Conversations with Refugees
Looking for individuals to tutor refugees one-on-one, online or in-person, to improve their English skills. No formal teaching experience is required—just patience, encouragement, and a willingness to connect.
Our Philosophy :
We believe language is a pathway to empowerment. By meeting refugees where they are and developing meaningful conversational English, we equip them to confidently advocate for themselves, their families, and their futures.
Our Focus:
Conversations and lessons are student-driven and based on individualized instruction, rather than a structured curriculum.
Our priority is to provide flexibility in order to address each student’s specific needs.
Instruction is designed to model language use, rather than focus on formal grammar instruction.
How it works :
A tutoring partner is matched with a student.
Together, they schedule sessions and choose the format (online or in person).
If needed, training on WhatsApp , Zoom or Google Meet is provided
Sample recorded lessons and observation opportunities are provided.
Ongoing support is available as needed.
Help make a meaningful difference in the lives of refugee families!
