Business Course
Learning Business
The selling course is designed for refugee and immigrant women to learn and practice principles of selling. The class will meet one a week for two hours online. Women will need access to a computer and the internet, but this access may be through a library or other public source. In addition to these meetings, participants will practice selling online and at in-person events outside of the classes. While the primary lessons will focus on selling, the experience will help to build a network with other women, practice English language in a professional setting, and learn about other services that may be available to the community.
Among the lessons of the course are:
Assessing and pricing a product.
Developing a sales profile or story for the product.
Effective communication – especially listening.
Resolving issues and responding to concerns.
Fulfillment and after-sales actions.
